To provide pupils with an interactive and conducive ML learning environment, develop a positive and creative thinking culture as well as promote character development and excellence in teaching and learning.

a) Berdarmawisata ke Brunei 2008 Brunei Immersion Programme 2008
Sekumpulan pelajar dari peringkat Darjah 5 bersertakan 3 orang guru Bahasa Melayu telah melawat Negara jiran, Negara Brunei Darussalam, untuk program berdamawisata pada bulan Mei, tahun 2008. Banyak tempat-tempat menarik telah dilawati dan mereka pulang dengan pengetahuan yang lebih luas setelah menziarahi Sekolah Rendah Beribi Telanai. Para pelajar berpeluang mendalami budaya dan mengenali cara hidup orang-orang Melayu di Brunei, mengetahui sistem persekolahan Negara tersebut dan menjalin persahabatan dengan pelajar-pelajar di sana.
A group of Primary 5 students together with 3 ML teachers visited Brunei as part of the Immersion Programme in May 2008. One of the many interesting places visited was the Beribi Telanai Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Beribi Telanai). Both students and teachers came back with a widened knowledge and heightened cultural awareness of our neighbouring country, through experiential learning of the way of life of the Muslim society and its educational system, after which friendship ties bloomed blossoms between students from both countries
b) Semarak Bahasa Kelompok E6 2008 E6 Annual Cluster Event
Sekolah-sekolah rendah yang tergolong dalam Kelompok E6 telah mengadakan acara tahunan, iaitu Semarak Bahasa 2008. Pelajar-pelajar dari peringkat Darjah 1 thingga ke Darjah 5 telah mengharumkan nama Sekolah Rendah White Sands dengan menewaskan peserta-peserta dari sekolah lain untuk kategori Berpidato (Darjah 5), Mendeklamasikan Sajak (Darjah 4), Bernyanyi (Darjah 3) dan Melakonkan Watak (Darjah 2). Pemenang-pemenang dari Darjah 6 juga telah menerima hadiah pada hari itu untuk Peraduan Menulis yang dijalankan sebelumnya. Tahniah kami ucapkan kepada mereka semua!
The 6 schools in the East Zone 6 held the Annual Cluster Event, Semarak Bahasa in July 2008. Pupils from Primary 1 to Primary 5 who took part in the various competitions did us proud! The range of competitions for the various levels included Singing Competition, Character Portrayal Competition, Poetry Recitation and Oratorical Competition, among others. A prize presentation for the winners of the P6 Creative Writing Competition was also held on that day. We would like to congratulate our winners who had done the school proud!
